You can make a beginning, with only a dream,
Even when you have nothing by your side,
That there is a dream is a beginning enough. |

I too have a dream, a vision for my college. A vision
of my students with a tinkle of laughter in their voice,
a light of hope in their eyes, the freedom of a brook
in their step, a desire to reach the sky and an optimism
to conquer the heights of success. |

| I wish my students to live life like
a song …But,
this too, is true that every wish is not translated
into reality and there are many impediments and obstacles
to discourage and depress us. As Dushyant Kumar suggests |
|
|
| Ecstasy is ephemeral, agony is permanent. |
|
| Sorrows and pain make us only stronger.
Trials and tests should not put us down. A sculptor
strikes many a hammer and chisel to carve out a beautiful
statue from a lifeless piece of stone. A teacher is
like that sculptor who shapes a piece of earth into
a life – like image. The difference is that teacher
handles a living shape and instils personality into
it. A teacher has a great responsibility to chisel
out personalities and he should not be shy of using
his hammer and tools to breath 'life' into human beings
who were merely 'existing' earlier, and not 'living'.
And the day students catch the spirit of the teacher
that he wants to do every thing in his capacity to
make life better for his students, the old bonds of
'Guru-Shishya' tradition will be re-established. |

| One can't blame the edifice if the foundation
is weak. We have to think here and now, how to strengthen
the rock-bed of the structure of our students' character. |
|
| Our society is still not too willing
to offer growth and development to our women. But we
wish to create a generation of brave, self-respecting
and self-confident daughters, so that society welcomes
their arrival on this earth. |
